Breaking Out of our Boxes

I was thinking about drafting a post about how we’ve turned into a mashup culture, where artists see no reason to stay in the little cages of audience expectation.  I was trying to think of all kinds of pithy, interesting ways to express that idea, when I stumbled over Chuck Wendig riffing on that very same topic, over at his blog.

Here’s the link. http://terribleminds.com/ramble/2012/09/05/the-death-of-genre-drifting-toward-a-post-genre-future/.

If you’ve never read Mr. Wendig, you’re in for a treat.  He’s passionate, profane, and very insightful on a number of topics.  His fiction’s pretty good, too.
